Face of Prisoners

Face Of Prisoners

I made a documentary photography project about prisoners in 2002 In Eskisehir/Turkey. I worked 6 months in prison. This prison is called ‘open prison’ because it is based on the work such as furniture making, handcraft, ironmongery, and bakery. For example, bread that is produced by prisoners sent to hospitals and public enterprises. Prisoners are working there and earning money. Not too much but this is motivating for them. Prisoners are not political convicts; most of them were murders, drug sellers, thief, and usurpers.
