Darkness in the Town

Thermal power plants have deadly effects for the people living in that region if the rules are not followed. There are 2 thermal power plants in the middle of two districts in Kahramanmaraş (TURKEY). One of them is managed by the state. While filtering is done correctly in the thermal power plant operated by the government, unfortunately, there is no filter in the privatized thermal power. Harmful gases are mixed into the air. Diseases are said to be on the rise. Although the local people complain about it, they ignore it because it enriches the region by saying that it is a source of income. I was there for photographing this area. With the bitter air filling my nose, I realized the existence of thermal power plants. It’s something I want you to delve into. Here I am sharing my first step with you.
