Sacrifice

Sacrifice

Sacrifice is defined as an act of worship to thank God, to show gratitude and belief in his existence. However, sacrifice is also an act of worship in which animals are slaughtered. Before Eid al-Adha, people go to the markets to buy sheep to be sacrificed. The sheep purchased from the sacrificial markets are taken home or to slaughterhouses to be slaughtered on the first day of the feast. The sheep are slaughtered by saying the Word of Allah. It is delivered to its owner. In the Aegean region of Turkey, there are people who iron the heads of the victims. They iron them over a fire to remove the hair on the head. This work tells the story of sheep and their owners who sacrifice them as a sacrifice to thank Allah.
